The Raddle Log Cabins are in the grounds of a Pub/Restarant on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border just 5 minutes to Alton Towers and 10 minutes to The Peak National Park. They are available to let on a daily/weekly basis either self catering or B&B.

The log cabins are Heart of England Tourist Board Two/Three Star for self catering although we offer them on a bed and breakfast basis as well.

They are all self contained with their own kitchen, lounge and bathroom. They are fully centrally heated with colour TV's, full cooking facilities and parking next to each unit.

We have double up to 35 x 20' or single 36 x 12 units with 2 or 3 bedrooms and sofa beds in the lounge, so each two star log cabin will sleep up to 6 people and the three star cabins sleep 8/10. Please let us know the sleeping arrangements of your party/group so that we can provide the appropriate bed linen and towels (B&B only).

All cabins have views of the surrounding countryside and Croxden Abbey.

The Raddle Inn & Country Restaurant

The oldie worlde Inn and Restaurant is nestled in a bank overlooking the historic Croxden Abbey and the surrounding countryside. There are no busy roads so you can relax in the vast beer garden and enjoy one of the most magnificent views in England and yet you are just 10 minutes away from the top tourist attraction in the U.K.-Alton Towers.

The on-site facilities include:

  • Pub Restaurant with smoking and non-smoking dining rooms.
  • Games room with pool table, football table, dartboard, jukebox, touch screen and gaming machine.
  • Beer garden with childrens' play area, outside pool table and bouncing castle.
We offer an extensive menu catering for all tastes including vegetarians and there is a large selection of sweets and children's meals. If you are intending to eat at The Raddle Inn Restaurant please book a table as soon as you can.

The Pub was originally called The Masons Arms and has recently been featured in the magazine Freemasonry Today.

Croxden Abbey is said to be the burial site of King John's heart. An urn was uncovered some years ago, but no one will either confirm or deny that this was the heart in the urn.
